I've been spending more time observing my hives near a large orchard and I have a specific question for the group. We all know that general weather conditions like temperature and wind affect our bees' foraging. But I've been thinking about something more localized.

Have any of you noticed a significant impact on bee activity due to very localized micro-climates? For example, a sheltered area that retains more heat in the morning, or how a brief, light shower affects the pollen and nectar availability for just a few hours. I'm curious to hear your experiences and any insights you might have on this.
