I’m gonna be honest—Vengeance sounds cooler on paper than it actually is in practice. It took me a while to unlock it, and I was really hyped to test it out, but after some solid timebo6 bot lobby using it, I’ve realized it’s just too limited to justify putting into a main class.
Yes, the damage buff you get when you respawn is noticeable. It can help you melt people in the first 5–7 seconds after you get back into the game. But the keyword here is "can"—because you don’t always respawn in a spot that lets you take advantage of it. Half the time I’d respawn and be running around looking for someone, and by the time I find them, the perk’s worn off. Useless.
This perk would be amazing if it had a longer duration or if it activated more frequently (maybe after assists or streaks ending), but right now it feels like a gimmick. Especially when compared to consistent perks like Ghost, Tac Mask, or Ninja, which give you value every second you’re alive.
Also, let’s not ignore how grindy it is to unlock. You need to earn 100,000 XP after activating the Armory challenge. That’s hours of game time—time you could spend unlocking better gear or focusing on your Prestige path. Unless you’re running in constant lobbies full of bots or you’re a cracked pubstomper, it’s just not efficient.
The only players I could recommend this to are people who push hard and die often but immediately return to the fight—like Hardpoint or Kill Confirmed grinders. If that’s you, maybe Vengeance gives you some extra edge. For everyone else, it’s not worth the effort. It’s flashy but not practical. |
